Frequently asked questions
Jump Ropes
CrossFit jump ropes and speed ropes for double unders, crossovers and conditioning. Three setups here, and the right one depends less on your level than on what you are trying to fix.
Flare Pro
The full-feature rope. Removable handle extensions give wider reach and more control, which is what crossovers need, and they come off when you want a shorter handle for straight double unders. Runs on both cable types. This is the rope for athletes who want one setup that adapts rather than a drawer full of ropes.
Flare
The straightforward speed rope. Light, responsive and smooth through the turn, without the modular extensions. If you are chasing a first double under or you want a reliable everyday rope, this does the job.
Viper beaded
Beads turn slower than a coated cable and feed more back to your hands, so timing is easier to feel and easier to correct. 8 inch handles for crossover reach. The rope to learn on, and the one that survives outdoor concrete.
The cable decides the feel
This matters more than most athletes expect. PVC has more lag, which means a slower turnover and more feedback while you build rhythm. Nylon-coated has less lag and a faster turnover and takes rougher surfaces, but it is stiffer. Same handles either way, so you can change how your rope behaves for the price of a cable.
Wear and spares
Cable life is driven mostly by the surface you train on. Rough concrete wears a cable far faster than a rubber gym floor. Cables, swivel balls and carry pouches are all replaceable, so a worn rope is a spare part rather than a new purchase.
