5.0 1

Weightlifting belts for squats, deadlifts and Olympic lifting. A belt gives your core a rigid surface to brace against, which raises intra-abdominal pressure and stabilizes the trunk under load. It works with your bracing, not instead of it.

The two options

Venta is the more supportive hybrid. A 4 inch profile with an EVA foam core, a nylon-reinforced shell and a stainless steel self-locking buckle. Light enough to keep on through a whole session, sturdy enough for heavy days. The 4 inch width meets IWF and IPF standards.

X-Prime is lighter and more flexible. 5 inches at the back tapering to 4 at the sides, EVA foam core. The taper is the point: full width where you brace, narrower at the sides so you can still hinge and cycle a barbell without it digging in.

Sizing

XS to XL. Federation rules change, so check the current rulebook for your event before competition day rather than taking a product page's word for it.

Frequently asked questions

What are weightlifting belts for?

Weightlifting belts help increase IAP (intra-abdominal pressure) by up to 40%. The belt creates a rigid surface for core muscles to brace against and in turn help stabilise the spine and reducing the load and compression on spinal disks. Weightlifting belts are designed to aid stability and safety during heavy lifts.

When should I use a weightlifting belt?

Weightlifting belts should can be used during metcons and weightlifting sessions to aid in stability and safety of the spine. Proper bracing technique is required in order to maximise the belt effectiveness and safety.

*Please note, weightlifting belts are not a replacement for poor technique

Are Reyllen weightlifting belts approved for competition use?

Yes, Reyllen weightlifting belts are designed to meet the IWF and IPF in-person competition standards.

Who should not use a weightlifting belt?

We generally do not recommend using a weightlifting belt if you are a beginner and loads are light. Using a weightlifting belt at this stage can lead to slower progression and over-reliance on the equipment.
